Hull Inspection and Maintenance
Boats tied up in marinas along the east coast of the United States are exposed to a mix of fresh and salt water throughout the year. This estuary environment is ideal for many marine organisms that use a concrete-like biological glue to attach themselves to Rocks, Docks, Pilings, and Your Boat. Over time, this growth will cause several issues:
- reduced fuel efficiency
- reduction of steering capability
- reduction of propeller thrust, and in extreme cases complete loss of propulsion
- reduction or loss of power from thrusters
- hull damage from unchecked growth creating cracks as well as exploiting keel-joints, through-hull valves, and existing micro-cracks
Marine Anti-Fouling Paint has limitations as its effectiveness decreases over time; good paint alone will not protect you from the growth that occurs in the marine environment and will still require regular cleaning.
Hull Cleaning Estimates:
Private Boats and Yachts: $5/foot for single hull; $6/foot for double hulls; $.075/foot additional for vessels over 60’ in length; estimate based on vessels that undergo monthly or bi-monthly cleaning.
Commercial Vessels: Estimate required based on location, class of vessel, and propulsion system.

Zinc Inspection and Replacement
Electrolysis, or Galvanic Corrosion, occurs naturally in the marine environment and corrodes all forms of metal. This is why sacrificial Zinc anodes (and in some cases Aluminum Alloy anodes) are used on marine vessels. These anodes have more electrochemical potential than the other metals on your boat and will draw the corrosive effects away from critical components like propellers, shafts, skegs, thrusters, through-hull valves, as well as your boat’s electrical system. Regular inspection and prompt replacement of these components prevents damaging corrosion that reduces the life of your boat’s metal components and electrical systems.
Inspection included with Hull Cleaning, Zinc cost (based on size/number) ranges from $20-$200

Thruster Cleaning
Thrusters of all types are now more commonplace on larger modern boats allowing operators to safely maneuver in tight spaces and precise control when mooring. The loss of one or more (if multiple) of these controls is a serious safety concern and can make certain vessels difficult if not impossible to control even in calm conditions. We ensure that the thruster vents and prop blades are clean and free of growth and debris for proper operation when they are needed.
Included with Hull Cleaning, $60 for thruster alone

Prop Cleaning, Lubricating, and Replacement
A correctly functioning propeller is vital to your safety on the water, keeping you under control and out of danger. A prop with marine growth will not provide the power you expect, and in overgrowth cases, no power at all. We clean your propellers while performing Hull Cleaning, but if necessary, we can remove and install propellers for many boats and lubricate props without the need to haul out, saving you time and money. If you are having a prop refurbished locally, we will drop it off and pick it up for you.
Prop Removal and Installation:
$20 per inch of prop diameter; additional time (up to $100) may be required for Max props or prop line cutters; delivery to and from shop included if refurbishing
Prop Lubrication:
$150

Top-Side Cleaning and Detailing
The best part of owning a boat is sharing it with others, and we all want to make a good first impression. A gleaming and clean boat invites its guests to come aboard and feel that it is safe and well-maintained. While we love to clean boats, we understand that not everyone wants to spend their “boat time” cleaning. We’ll keep your vessel tidy with regular cleanings and can set up a detail and polish just prior to your return. Let us help you spend more time on the water and less time on the dock.
$8 Per foot for cleaning, detailing is customized based on finish level and requirements

Interior Cleaning and Detailing
No matter how well you last left your boat, there is always work to do to get it ready to be back out on the water. The marine environment brings different challenges to your boat’s interior, with condensation being the biggest culprit. Mold and mildew can thrive on boats and can be found on every surface, and dust will collect. We provide a full interior service from surfaces to linens and will have your boat’s interior smelling great and looking spotless. Spend more time enjoying your boat and less time cleaning it!

Waste Tank Freshening and Pump-Out (Limited Operation Area)
We can’t always get three miles offshore to release our waste tanks, and local Wildlife and Natural Resources Bureaus are ramping up their efforts in enforcement of waste dumping regulations. Whether you liveaboard your boat or are a seasonal day-tripper, having waste tanks pumped out regularly keeps your boat fresh and makes it easy to stay in compliance.
Over time, Waste Tanks can accumulate sludge that won’t flow out when offshore and is too heavy for a pump-out vacuum to pull out. We offer freshwater enzyme-based tank freshening that will help break down this sludge to keep your waste tanks clean with full capacity available.
Pump-out Services and Tank Refresh Services are currently available for Brunswick Landing and Morningstar Marinas near Brunswick, GA
Pump Out:
Waste Tank Refresh:
$40/Boat (recurring customers can access contract rates)
$150 (up to 60 gallons, all tanks included, allow 24 hours for full flush out)
$195 (61-120 gallons, all tanks included, allow 24 hours for full flush out)

Concierge Service
With BBCC’s concierge Service you can leave your boat at the marina with the peace of mind that your vessel is well looked after. Our concierge service will visit your vessel on a rotating schedule to ensure:
- Dock lines and fenders are correctly positioned and properly secured
- Through-hulls are exercised
- Engine(s)/Generator Run
- Engine Run for 5-10 minutes
- Bilges are inspected and run for any potential issues
- Moisture Control products are changed out as needed
- Electrical Connections and Battery Status checked
Customized rate plan based on tasks to be completed, and frequency of visits.

Dock and Piling Cleaning
Free-standing and floating docks are subject to the same marine biology as boats are, and the risks of unattended growth are decreased lifespan and increased liability:
- Accelerated wear and tear and lower water line from weight of marine growth
- Increased lateral forces to structures from additional drag by currents
- Structural damage from barnacles on wood, concrete, and steel
- Damage to vessels from exposed barnacles during low tide
- Injuries from exposed barnacles during low tide (floating docks in particular)
- Aesthetic quality of the docks and pilings
